    The Bristol TN/VA Chamber of Commerce (BCOC) was established in 1909, and is one of only 1.8 % of chambers nationwide who have earned the distinction of being a 5-star accredited chamber. The BCOC serves both Bristol, TN and Bristol, VA, with a collective population of approximately 47,000. Bristol is one community that straddles the state line for VA and TN.

    Position Summary:
    The Bristol Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Strategic Impact & Administrative Specialist. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives, facilitating organizational impact, and providing administrative assistance to ensure smooth operations. This multifaceted position combines strategic thinking, project management, and administrative support to drive success across various functions within the organization.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
     
    1. Strategic Project Support:
       - Collaborate with leadership to support strategic projects and initiatives.
      
    2. Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative assistance to executives and teams, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
    • Assist in preparing meeting materials, documents, and correspondence.
    • Coordinate stakeholder meetings and events.
    • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.
    3. Event Management:
    • Assist in planning and coordinating events, workshops, and conferences.
    • Handle logistics, vendor coordination, attendee management, and post-event evaluation.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma, college degree preferred.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in administrative support, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement is a plus.
