Women’s Professional Virtual Workshop on Leadership Mindset “Leadership is more than a job description, it’s a frame of mind”, Ashley Cox, PHR, SHRM-CP. Women who register will learn how to develop their leadership mindset and emerge as a confident, effective leader. YWCA NETN and SWVA will host a lunchtime virtual workshop, Emerge, for professional women. Emerge is a female focused, quarterly series created to meet the needs of professional women at all levels of their career. Experts in a variety of fields empower women with new tools that directly apply to their work. The upcoming training on June 12 will be provided online so that women from all around the country can benefit from this leadership training. The same ideas and behaviors that brought you success in your career up to that point can hinder you going forward. Effectively leading a team requires new skills, a shift in priorities, and the cultivation of your leadership mindset. During this interactive workshop, you will learn three key concepts to jumpstart the process and set you and your team on the path for success: #1: Understanding Your Ultimate Role #2: Doing Isn’t helping #3: Your Most Important Task This workshop will be especially beneficial for: • Emerging leaders who are preparing for or have recently transitioned into a leadership role • New or mid-level managers seeking insights into their approach to help maximize their potential • Mentors looking to understand challenges faced by emerging leaders and strategies to address them Ashley Cox, PHR, SHRM-CP has over 13 years of leadership and HR experience in both the corporate and small business worlds, was chosen as a Tri-Cities Business Journal 40 Under 40 recipient in 2017, and is passionate about helping women become more confident, effective and impactful leaders.
