Iconic Bristol CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GUITAR GETS “FINE-TUNED”
Bristol Chamber’s guitar temporary removal scheduled for Monday, December 13, 2021.

Bristol, TN/VA – The Bristol Chamber of Commerce announces that as of December 13, 2021 the iconic guitar will be temporarily removed for repair.

Despite the absence of a scheduled reinstallation date, the Bristol Chamber ensures the landmark will be back in its rightful place as soon as possible. Bristol Chamber President and CEO Beth Rhinehart explains, “We are working diligently with our vendor to complete the overhaul quickly. Due to continuous exposure of various temperatures year-round, it is time for our beloved sign to receive some much-needed maintenance, and specifically, some fine tuning.”

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bristol Chamber, the famous 20-foot-tall guitar was commissioned in 2009. Since its beginning, the Bristol Chamber of Commerce guitar has stood on the corner of State Street and the Volunteer Parkway. Serving as a constant reminder of our cities’ roots in country music, this piece continues to attract visitors and community members alike. Consequently, beautification of such a community stable, ensures longevity of enjoyment.
