    Position Title: Project Coordinator, Trauma Informed Care Community of Care
    FLSA STATUS: Full time/Exempt
    Organization: Bristol’s Promise (BP): Youth Networking Alliance
    Reporting to: Board President and Board of Directors

    Purpose of the Position: The Project Coordinator of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) Community of Care, is a champion of the Bristol community’s TIC Community of Care Collective Impact work, which drives our vision of a community where everyone achieves their full, human potential through education, resiliency, and healthy living.
    In this position, you will help set the strategic direction of this work and represent BP and the United Way of Bristol TN/VA in existing initiatives, using the deep connections there to bring volunteer leadership together for common goals. The TIC Community of Care focuses on the community at large, this Project Coordinator position will bring the business community into focus, moving into the ‘Working Bridges’ model of employee support. Developing the ‘WB’ project will provide family support and stability, reducing ACEs and Trauma in children and families. Your cultivating of collaborative relationships with nonprofit, government and business sectors develops community teams addressing prioritized issues.

    POSITION OVERVIEW
    The Project coordinator will be a dynamic leader who will establish and grow this initiative, facilitate the collective success of this community-wide effort, and serve as a public ambassador for the initiative. More specifically, the Project Coordinator will also drive the TIC Community of Care internal and external functions, including strategy, communications, community engagement, and data functions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Leadership:
    • Providing visionary, adaptive leadership, modeling BP’s guiding values and reflecting them
    • Developing, coaching and mentoring BP team members
    • Establishing, facilitating, and executing effective and open communication with staff and volunteers
    • Developing systems to share organizational decisions with key stakeholders and leaders
    • Identifying capacity gaps and creating hiring plans for potential growth
    Strategic Coherence:
    • Developing strategic solutions for current implementation challenges
    • Helping align partner organizations’ efforts to the Common Agenda
    • Establishing advocacy priorities and coordinate supporting activities
    Fund development:
    • Grant management, including reporting, facilitating implementation and grant drafting as needed
    • Identifying additional potential funding sources and aligning resources to BP’s agenda
    Working with community partners:
    • Conducting individual outreach and education as needed to reduce redundancies
    • Maintaining a full understanding of the current landscape of local and regional activities
    • Building and maintaining relationships with community partners
    Communications:
    • Communicating the objectives of BP to the community and potential partners
    • Facilitating communication between BP partners
    • Reporting annually on BP TIC Community of Care progress for Steering Committee and stakeholders
    • Developing or overseeing creation of communications materials and media strategies
    Facilitation and Stakeholder Management:
    • Cultivating excellent working relationships with leaders from all community sectors
    • Providing regular reports on group progress against goals and indicators
    • Helping identify and recruit additional cross-sector stakeholders
    Managing internal systems:
    • Overseeing daily operations and measuring necessary aspects of operational management
    • Selecting, contracting with, and overseeing work of additional staff and consultants, as appropriate
    • Monitoring and reporting on operational issues, opportunities, improvements, and achievements
    Data collection, analysis, and reporting:
    • Working with a shared measurement system to track common outcomes/indicators
    • Ensuring all partners are aware of targets and indicators
    • Creating or managing creation of regular grant reports
    • Overseeing work of data manager or consultant.

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
    The Project manager will report to a Trauma Informed Care Community of Care Steering Committee which includes representation from the Bristol’s Promise board.

    REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS
    This is an opportunity to play a critical role in a multifaceted, multi-organizational initiative, which will require the Director to be passionate and committed to the mission and overarching goals of BP and TIC. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
    • Three to five years of relevant work experience, including experience managing teams in a fast-paced and high-growth nonprofit, social enterprise, or business start-up environment
    • The executive presence to inspire confidence and passion in both internal and external audiences
    • Advanced strategy and planning skills
    • Strong data acumen and ability to oversee complex shared-measurement systems
    • Strong computer and digital skills to facilitate development of marketing tools
    • Experience with grant work and management
    • Complex project management experience and stakeholder management
    • Building relationships with a cross-sectoral range of local stakeholders and senior executives
    • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fluid, entrepreneurial environment
    • An advanced degree in business, education, policy, communications, social work, or related field
    • Familiarity with the local area and/or focus of the initiative

    COMPENSATION
    Compensation for the position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

    START DATE
    The project start date is July 1, 2019 with the position beginning as close to that date as possible.
