The Bristol Public Library is pleased to announce the start of “One Book, One Bristol.” Throughout October, the library will be encouraging patrons, visitors, and friends to read Rocket Boys (otherwise known as October Sky) by Homer Hickam as part of their new community read project.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Sputnik’s original flight and, of course, reading, the library has several amazing events planned, including visits from Dr. Gary Henson from the ETSU Observatory, Dr. Raymond Bloomer from King University, Jason Dorfman from Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium, and a professor from the University of Tennessee.
Join the library during October and enjoy free movies, events, and even prizes as part of our “One Book, One Bristol” community read! It’s time to shoot for the stars!
